A hardware kit to go along with.

              I am thinking if I made a hardware kit to go along with this book and many other books and websites that a person could follow along with it in software and hardware. Then I think I would learn a lot more and it would be more interesting to have working hardware that shows what one is doing in software. I would start with creating the basic gates with transistors then when that is done use the basic gates to create more complex gates and then use those complex gates to create even more complex gates. I would even draw out the schematics for each step so that the person using it could see how the software relates to the real hardware.
                In the kit I would have prototyping board in it to start with then as thing's progressed one would use pre printed bread boards for each on going section then each board would be able to plug into another board as it gets more complex.Until one would have their own computer system that could plug into something and they also would have their own self made keyboard.
              For example when some one got the chapter on creating the actual computer system they would just start plugging in boards and making add on's then one could program it and have a self working system.
              One could make all kinds of functional hardware. it could be a series of making a radio receiver, a calculator with 8 segment led readout, a radio transmitter and receiver, a 4bit,8bit and maybe even a 16 bit computer system that outputs to a tv through component out or even maybe vga so one could hook it up to a monitor and also it could have a robot kit that one could use the newly built computer to control  it. there would also be a section on creating sound so one could have a sound card. But it would be a series so you would be in steps and also I would make instruction videos and notes to go along with it on things that could go wrong or be confusing.
     This series would be called DIY(Do It Yourself) computer science/engineering from concept to real working hardware. I would refer one to the DIY computer science page to do the software then I would instruct them to do it in the hardware.
